Nope, not going to jump in to the fat activist movement. I want to promote health and good body image. Fat people do not feel good about themselves because they know fat isn't good or healthy.
I wouldn't want to be that ugly!
Quoting nicki1018:I accept fat people I just wouldn't ever get that big
I am actually working on the damn 50 pounds I put on with prozac. UGH! I will be happy to get back down to my normal size.. I don't feel healthy and I feel every pound on me. My doctor did a blood test and said my blood rest came back good all in normal range. Good and bad cholesterol. So she isn't worried but still.. UGH! Oh well.. Everyone has something they need to work on about themselves.
while i'm all for one having self-confidence, being overweight is not healthy. make a choice to get healthy for your family, if not for yourself.

Quoting ShannyLouisiany:ill never accept swinging hippos.
Quoting metalhealthmom:Um. I accept people regardless of their looks. However, if i were close to someone that size I would be concerned if they didn't have plans to get healthier.
Quoting gum.drop:Fat shouldn't be accepted.. It should still be addressed considering in most cases it is not healthy...
But a person should have the self confidence to love themself and feel attractive no matter what. That doesn't mean you don't strive for health.
