i think alimony/spousal support, is ridiculous

yep, totally do! I understand child support, its his kid too and should be financially responsible as well as acting like a parent should. But freaking spousal support? he isnt YOUR dad, he just doesnt want to be with you anymore, i think people should kinda just learn to get over it and take responsibility for themselves!

 I think it's okay for a set amount of time to help the mother do something to be able to be steady on her own. Especially if the ex dh was able financially.

Yes, and he decided to marry her, and thus give up half of his earnings, so it's a match made in heaven. I know for a fact if my husband were to some day divorce me I am taking him to the cleaners lol.

Yeah. And it was probably her choice to sign the prenup too. Good for her.
People change. People decieve other people. It's not a womans fault that her husband decided that he wanted to leave regardless of whether or not she made the decision to leave him.

My friend spends her spousal and child support on weed for her and her physically abusive boyfriend. She's totally earned it though by cheating on her husband then divorcing him.
