I have the book in my hand. I refuse to open it until I can read the entire first book. You have just re-affirmed to me that I made the right decision in purchasing the book. Now I think I better get the other two.

The writing is dreadful, but the storyline I loved! Any person with a creative mind can fill in the issues with the writing. It wasn't written to be the next Jane Austen.

I loved the books. Read then in 3 days.

Hmm...and it's a three part series? I might download it. I'm so far behind on reading.

Quoting AnnieMcD:

So far its super smart sweet virgin klutz meets super hot rich guy who likes to play with whips & chains. I'm only a few chapters into the first one though.

Quote:

Gor , the Counter-Earth, is the alternate-world setting for John Norman's Chronicles of Gor (sometimes called the Gorean Saga), a series of twenty-eight novels that combine philosophy, erotica and science fiction

basically... kind of a caveman/viking mishmash with male domination and female slaves.

ETA - I take that back... it's not limited to male domination/female slaves, I don't think.  there are male slaves for female doms as well, i think.  at least that's how it goes in the roleplays based on the series.

Quoting RiotousDigits:

am I the only one with absolutely no interest in reading those books?

ETA - I plan on reading Jane Austen all summer.

Good for you.  Her heroines crack me up! Could they be more stubborn???
