I let my 4 year old suffer

He didnt want to put on his sock and he put his shoes on the wrong feet. Now he has a huge painful blister on his toe and side of the foot. He couldnt put his shoes on today without screaming. I explained what caused the blister and took him to the babysitter in pain. I truly believe he will learn better this way.

My son is three and he normally is good at putting his shoes on the right foot. If its wrong or he needs socks I bring him his socks and tell him his shoes are on the wrong feet and you need to switch your shoes. He normally listens. IF he fights I do it for him.

Seriously? He's 4. There's no way he could understand that would cause a blister.

Some battles are worth fighting. Make him put his shoes on the right feet if it will cause him hurt. Blisters can get infected! Feet are important! Just silly to me!
