Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post

for starters i dont speak english very good so if i mess up im sorry

so over the weekend my son and his wife and their son came over to visit, while my son and my dil were out at target i cut my grandsons hair, my son was the one who noticed it first and told his wife and she now wont bring the baby over here anymore my son comes over by himself and his excuse is "you gave our son juice and cut his hair with out permission and i told you he cant have juice yet, multiple times"

do we have any rights to see the baby or can they just cut us off just like that? we live in california

In Pennsylvania grandparents have rights. You have to go to court and petition for visitation.

They can keep him from you if that's what they choose.  As long as they aren't harming him, you have no rights.

Honestly, you would be cut from my kids' lives too. Even their dad isnt allowed to cut their hair without my permission. He also told you many times not to give juice. Why would you do such stupid things when they trusted you?

there's no such thing as grandparent rights.

also, listen to them.  THEY are the parents.  You don't get to decide what's best for him.

cutting his hair was a major mistake.

I would have asked about the haircut first & since they've already told you about not giving juice, they do have the right to get mad at you. Still though, I wouldn't keep DS from his grandparents for something like that. I'd be mad for a bit, but I'd get over it. There are worse things than juice & a haircut in this world.
