He has a disgusting habit of biting his nails and eating the fingernail.

Eating the nail..Gah gag. That's even worse than just biting them which is already gross. When mine does it, I slap his ARM so he realizes he's doing it. And he stops. Ha

I think nail biting is probably on the normal scale, but eating it...I'm not so sure.
