S/O What Should a Busy SAHM give up?

So, the other post about SAHM's having/not having a housekeeper got me thinking.  A few people thought it was "lazy".  But, I know at least for me, I'm busy almost every day of the week with volunteer work, workouts, running errands, extracurricular activies for the kids etc. etc. etc.  While, I manage to squeeze in housecleaning, on occasion it does get out of hand.  I by no means have a nasty, dirty home.

So, it got me thinking?  What should a SAHM give up to keep her house clean?

There is no need to give anything up. Just organise your time :) I personally see nothing wrong with having a housekeeper. :) I had one when I worked and miss her now that I dont :(

Why would you have to give any of that up? Its all about being organized. I do a TON and still manage to clean my own house.

I do all my own cleaning, cook from scratch, take care of 2 babies, make home made baby food, breastfeed, and have plenty of time left over every day. Make a list, people!

You know, I hadn't even thought about the sick thing.  Last week I was sick for three days.  Could barely get up.  I'm shocked the kids weren't late for school.  Meanwhile, after I came out of my stupor, my house looked liked a river ran through it.  I still don't know what was growing in the sink.  Damned hubby who will never rinse it out.

Yeah, I did that too when the kids were babies. The house was spotless.  Harder to get it all done now that the kids are older.  Funny, since I thought it would be easier when the kids got older.

im single with 2 kids and we've been sick since Tuesday... Ive had to get off my ass twice a day since to clean up the horror of a mess my children make :'( it sucks! Otherwise it would look disgusting in here if I didnt. Tissues were everywhere and cheerios from my daughter. Lmfao

i must have missed the other post, because i am a SAHM and have a housekeeper who comes once a week.
