There are people in my head...

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post
I was lying in bad last night, thinking about how to get rid of the bugs in my garden. Then I realized, I was actually having an argument, in my head. There was a guy who was being really rude and shooting down all my ideas, he was being ridiculous. And a girl, who was giving me good ideas.
Then I was like, wtf? This is not normal!! Definitately something I will let my therapist know about.
So, what do you think? Anxiety? Stress? Sleep deprived? Or am I just going nuts?

my ex husband was an asshole like that, but I divorced him years ago. Other than that, no.

In your (real- life) life, is there a male figure who makes you feel like you're not good enough, and a female who is always on your side?

All the above? Had you taken anything though like sleeping meds?

I've taken melatonin, but not in awhile.

Oh ok. Maybe sleep deprivation if you haven't had much sleep lately

I have always done this and so do most people I know. Most don't pay attention though.

Just wondering.

I've experienced what you describe in the OP. You are hallucinating.... Has anything happened lately that's caused some kind of stress for you? Or any changes to your normal life at all??

Quoting Anonymous:

No, I don't do drugs.

Quoting redredhead:

Are you on drugs? Serious question.

Quoting Anonymous:

No, I'm not. But I've been sleep deprived for a few weeks now. Like only 4 or 5 hours of sleep a night, sometimes less.

I don't think that's normal.

Maybe you were in a dream state. Light sleep. That happens to me and it feels like I'm awake but I'm actually sleeping.

Oh yeah, I have a lot of stress. Even my therapist told me she worries about me, and my stress levels.

Has your therapist given you any tools to deal with this stress???
