Crying baby in the store

When you see a mom pushing her baby along in a store while the baby cries and yet she doesn't pick up her child, what do you think? Does it bother you or do you shrug it off?

You let your seventeen month old have cookies? Wow.

My baby has not done this in a store yet, she is 17 months. When she was little I would wear her in my ergo if I knew it was going to be a while. If it was quick I would use the stroller or travel system and so far so good. Even as a toddler she is usually compliant, then again whenever we go to the grocery store she gets super excited bc the lady at the bakery gives her a cookie LOL. She starts saying "Mmmmmm" as we approach the parking lot lol. The "Mmmm" gets more enthusiastic as we get out of the car and go inside lol.

This exactly!!! I was that frazzled mom today in the checkout line. My 8 week old started shrieking out of nowhere. I couldn't wait to leave the store. Poor little guy...he was just so overtired.

Quoting Chuckydoodle:

I figure baby is fussy at that point, or over tired. Once you get to that stage there is almost nothing that can be done to quiet a fussy baby. I may even feel sorry for the mom if she looks like she is at her wits end. You can tell when women are regretful of their situation, their eyes are usually screaming with apologies. LOL. But mostly, I have been there done that, and I would treat them like I would hope others would treat me. Keep moving.

It doesn't bother me. Maybe she is trying to teach the child not to be so clingy. But it also depends on why the child is crying.

I thought the same thing Lmfao

The world will end... A fucking cookie has been given..... The world will end!

Quoting MrsSamMerlotte:

Omg, NOT A FUCKING COOKIE!

I let my fourteen month old have an oreo. She had a sip of sprite once, and coffee. We are usually very good about what we eat. Usually all organic, mostly produce and whole grains. With my first I was super anal. I'm more relaxed with my second.
