Crying baby in the store

When you see a mom pushing her baby along in a store while the baby cries and yet she doesn't pick up her child, what do you think? Does it bother you or do you shrug it off?

Eh, I don't pay attention.  My 20 month old has a fit sometimes when I don't allow her to walk.  Soo I bribe her with a cookie, I keep some on me for this purpose.. lol.  Or I ignore it.  Doens't bother me.  She never hollers for very long either.  Then again, a couple minutes to me, could be an eternity for someone else lol.

My DS was about 9 months old and was crying in the store. Being that he was a big child (height ad weight in the 99% percentile) he looked older and I had a woman with a fairly new baby walk up to my son and say "you need to stop, you are too old for that!" and then look at me and tell me I needed to slap him...I about hit her....She then proceeded to go on to the cashier about how her baby was being bothered and blah blah blah...I decided right then and there to not judge....fast forward 8 years later and my 4th child had GERD and colic....and NOTHING would calm her down and I still had to handle regular errands and the like. So she cried and she cried a lot...at home, at the store, everywhere. I was usually carrying her, but at times had to use a stroller as I had 3 other kids. And I got dirty looks all the time. Eventually she grew out of it and I have a happy, pleasant child who just went through a bad few months (actually it was almost 18 but who's counting)......so when I see a mom now I just figure it's a bad day or she has a colicky child....

Sometimes I try to talk to the baby. Mom is probably drained and can use a hand.

I'm thankful that my child loves stores, and feel sorry for the mom.

This. Sometimes you just gotta shop.

I don't notice other people that much.

I was really really angry, but I also decided to not have a physical confrontation with her....in the long run I am sure she figured it out when her kid got older....And I hope she had one of those kids that throws fits over everything LOL
