Give me a reason...

Why a same sex couple should not marry.  What I am looking for is an answer that has NOTHING to do with religion.  Why?  Because a persons religion should not override another's religion /beliefs.  I want solid answers that are completely away from any religious doctrine.

Now, every one has the right to their own beliefs and you can think it is as right or wrong as you like. It's futile to try and change anothers mind on this topic, I am loking for valid societal reasons, not religious reasons why two people of the same gender should not be able to enter into a contract of marriage.

*this is not meant to be a religious debate, or a be this way or you suck debate.  Try and really think about it.*

Ok ... *prepares to do this without being anon* I was raised in catholic home and went to catholic school and for long time.. Even into my adult years I had let's say issues with the gay community. I didn't think it was right etc. As an adult , I realized that most of the things taught to me were based upon hate and nOt acceptance. So I have since then changed my views . Honestly idc who gets married. Shit marry your dog if u want and it makes you blissful. That being said.. I feel like they should be allowed to get married but, the church should reserve the right to refuse to perform ceremony, for the people who don't understand what I mean I feel like making a church wed a homosexual couple is like saying.. What we believe matters and what u believe doesn't.. Both is wrong. So yes for gay marriage and yes for the church refusing right to do it. On the topic of children... I know a lesbian couple with 3 kids all perfectly adjusted and happy and a gay couple with a son also perfectly happy.. It has been my experience with these families that it's not the kids peers that usually have a problem it's the kids peers parents. *rant over lol*

Interesting, thanks:)  I agree with the church thing, I think it sucks but think they have the right to refuse.

Quoting Anonymous:It's disgusting and perverted.

Sex is always disgusting and perverted :P sharing all those germs, putting your mouth in places you wouldn't have. If you told a 6 year old one day she's gonna love putting her lipss on a boys pipi she wouldn't fukin believe you lol

An older cousin told me that to have a baby you had to kiss a boys pipi... I was appalled that enough people actually did that! I saw people with 5 and 6 kids and thought the moms were icky. And I was like "no wonder my mom only did that twice... Ewws!" I told my mom that's where I though babies came from and she told the whole family @_@ I was so embarrased. When they told me the truth I was like "at least she doesn't have to kiss it"
