Do you expect your parents/In-Laws to remember your kids birthdays?

So, my daughter turned 3 yesterday and both of DH's parents called to tell her Happy Birthday (even though she doesn't understand, it's the thought that counts!). My parents never call on my kids birthdays, they always forget. I'm not mad at them for forgetting but I sure wish MY family would remember.....my In-Laws always remember.

Your thoughts? Do your parents/In-laws call on your kids bdays?

Yes.. but then we have their only grandchild! Lol.

As the family grows we will probably cut them a little slack :).

Yes. MIL has 5 grandchildren and my mom will have her 5th grandchild in August. Everyone remembers all of their birthdays. Birthdays are a big deal in our family.

My parents better remember since my kids are their only grandkids. My inlaws even remember and they have 16 other grandkids. My parents always send gifts in the mail and my inlaws just call to wish them a happy birthday, but ya I'd be hurt if they forgot.

It means that she JUST turned 3. She knows that it's her birthday, but she can't possibly understand the concept....that mommy pushed her out 3 years ago.
