Babies in Movie theaters??

DD is three months ( GREAT baby) and I want to go see the avengers today with the family. The ticket was originally for my dad but his chemo was too bad today so he had to bail. How inappropriate is it to take a baby to the movie theater?

Forgot to mention...she wont take a bottle...therein lies the problem.

Babies should never be in a theater. Find a sitter

I think it's fine as long as you leave the theatre when the baby starts fussing.

I tried bringing my almost 3 year old to one...didn't work out too well.

I would give the ticket to someone else, or find a sitter.

During the day time I would say no, just sit on the outside so you can dash if he gets pissy.

I wouldn't go at night just because it being opening weekend. It will be majorly crowded.

I think it's terribly inappropriate. Some chick brought her small baby to The Hunger Games last month when we went, and the baby started fussing and crying. I nearly said something to her because I was terribly annoyed, but someone beat me to it.

That's why they have the early showings... A lot of movie theaters have "mommy movie" days where you're encouraged to bring your kids...

Only if the baby cries in the theater and the parents don't take the baby out of there.  As long as the baby is quiet, or the parent leaves with it as soon as it starts to cry -- I've got no problem.  As far as breastfeeding in the theater -- non issure.

3 months is fine. She will probably sleep all the way through. If she gets fussy, take her out. No big deal.
