We still use a baby monitor for our DD who is 2, it is always on, even when she isn't in her room. For about the past week everytime I am in my room(where the receiver is) I hear a baby crying. It is picking up from somebody else's monitor. I am not even kidding when I say that maybe all but twice when I have been in my room I hear this baby crying. During the day, during the night, for hours at a time. For example, this morning it woke Dh and I up around 8, it is now 1030 and the baby is still crying. I just don't get it. We never hear anyone else in there trying to soothe the baby, just the baby crying. Honestly it makes me sad...for one, the baby is obviously crying a lot with no attention and two the baby is left alone a lot in their room(or whatever), because we never hear any other noise, just the crying.

Why don't you call the cops? The monitor can only pick up a certain range and same frequency and the child sounds neglected. SMH

Go in your dds room and say as loud as possible in the monitor, get your baby already! Maybe they can hear you too?

It's somebody close by to be picking up the frequency. Anyone have a baby recently?

And say what? That a baby is crying all the time? I don't know who's kid it is or where they live! I would probably be laughed at.
