In the ER for splinters!!!

Yup we are at the ER with dd because she has splinters. She was climbing a palm tree at her grandparents last night and slid down the tree. We took her to urgent care this morning thinking they could take care of it. Nope they sent us to childrens ER for sedation. She has 30+ splinters that are all deep. I felt silly even going to urgent care ... who knew splinters could be ER worthy?!?!

both of my kids have had to go to the er for splinters...my son slid across a wood floor on his knees and a VERY large splinter "fanned" out in his knee and my daughter had 30+ splinters in her feet from an untreated deck, for her they put numbing gel on her feet and pulled out most of them...then we soaked her feet 30 minutes a day til they worked out.
