I took my daughter to a birthday party late on purpose

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post

My daughter was invited to a birthday party at mcdonalds yesterday. I took her 45 minutes late on purpose so that she would not be there in time to eat. She has never eaten fast food and I don't want her to start now. My MIL thinks that makes me a really mean mom and that I am not allowing her to have normal childhood experiences...lol

Exactly, I do not want her to have a normal childhood. I do not want obesity, high blood pressure, high colesterol and all of the other implications that come from eating shit. So bash away!

Good call. That ONE meal would have surely ruined her entire childhood.

Smh.

Then why take her at all? Really what's the point?

The point was probably to let everyone know about the higher moral ground...

So silly, fast food needn't be a regular part of her diet...but I'm sure it won't harm her beyond repair. Besides, your the parent, wouldn't you be able to say no to it if it became an often sort of a thing?

My question is did you let her have a piece of the birthday cake?  If so, what truly was the point?  Your best bet would have been to skip the party altogether.  To me it's rude to show up 45 minutes late when the party is pretty much over.

I don't see a problem with that.

I think that's okay but she will try it some time it's best she knows it's for "special cause it's not good for you" rather than just no cause when she isn't with you she'll have it.

I think its great.Teach your kids healthy eating habits while their young and they will take it with them into adulthood and thank you later for it.Dont be surprise if theyeat like crap when they are in highschool or college but they will get back to healthy stuff again.Wished my mom cared more about healthy eating and I would have a fat ass.My first thoughts for meals would be healthy than quick and easy crappy food. I have a hard time thinking of receipes for health than I do meals with a lot carbs and fat. Just saying.....
