SOME parents need to teach their kids compassion

DH spent two months in a rehab. DD of course took it very hard. She had some rough days at school. This little brat gave her a hard time. A few months later a good friend moved and she really missed her. This same little brat told dd that the kid moved because of her. The list goes on with this kid. She is a brat at the least. This past weekend at the pool a bunch of kids were playing. My dd was playing with her friends when this kid came and told dd to go ahead and leave cause no one liked her and the kids playing with her were just pretending. DD got upset. Her friends were super sweet and told the little girl that she was a brat and she needed to get a life. Then they hugged my daughter and told her not to listen to the other kid. I am so glad she has good friends. Wish all kids were this compassionate.

I'm mean. but I would've said something to that kid. or had them take me to their parents.

My oldest lacks compassion, but isn't mean. He has autism though, and social skills and reading emotions are two trouble areas.

I'm sorry your daughter had to go through that, kids can be so cruel sometimes. I agree with you parents need to teach their children compassion, teach them "The Golden Rule."

ya, that kid is a bullly. I feel for your daughter, and I'm glad she has friends to help her from the bully :)

I am pretty sure though if some kid was with friends your son wouldn't go out of his way to be mean and hateful. And if the child started getting upset he probably wouldn't call them a baby.

My daughter has a "brat" like that on her dance team.  Seemed to fixate on my daughter.  I told my daughter to be patient and nice to her anyway.  Months later I found out this "brat" had a dad that had no interest in her, a step dad that was rough on her and she felt like she didnt belong on the team.  The mom was crying to me one day because she appreciated that my daughter didnt retaliate. 

Maybe some moms need to learn some compassion eh?

I know the mom and the kids brother and sister. They are all sweet. This one though is a snobby little brat.
