So since it is such an awful thing to punch a bully in the face for harassing someone, how exactly are these kids supposed to deal with the bullies? Oh I know, go tell the teacher so the teacher can do nothing!!
When I was bullied on an almost daily basis, I told the teacher. What happened? NOTHING!! The bullying continued and even got worse in some situations.
When my oldest son was being bullied in private CHRISTIAN school, he told the teacher. I also spoke to the teacher on the phone as well as in person, in addition to sending her an email and a hand-written letter. Her response? "Well I don't see anything happening so until I do, I can't do anything about it!" Well DUH!!! What kid is stupid enough to bully in front of the teacher?
So all of you that are opposed to punching a bully in the face, what are your suggestions as to how to handle it? Enlighten us all, please!!
Quoting Chuckydoodle:
My daughter carried her phone with her in her pocket and recorded the problems, this after the principle told us she was the one being the bully, and had no proof the other girls were at fault. The other people got suspended for 10 days.
What about schools that don't allow students to have cell phones?
Beat their asses with a set of roller skates.
That's what I did to the 6th grader who was picking on my 1st grader brother.
A recording device of any kind, most places that don't allow cell phones just don't allow them to be on during the day. However, if a child is being abused like that recent special needs boy. The school will not deny using that as proof and frankly will work a lot harder at taking care of it so you don't sue.
