I was wondering. If your spouse dies while active duty and you get death benefits do you still get them if you remarry?

I believe your kids do, but not sure about the spouse.

I figured the kids would but I am not sure if it would be right for the spouse to continue when they got remarried to someone else

Whoever is on the DD93 (I think that is the form) gets the benefits.

Yes and no. I get a death pension for my husband. If I get remarried before 55, then it will get taken away...if you get remarried after 55 then you can still recieve it for the rest of your life.

If you have dependent children, who were the deceased veteran's legal children, then they will still receive a stipend until they are 18.
