how does gay marriage affect you in any way shape or form? id really like to know

It doesn't. In AZ, back in 2008-9, we voted against the gay marriage ban (it was still banned). I don't care who someone wants to marry. I am pro polygamy. I feel we should be able to marry who we want, and God will sort it out.

I consider myself religious. I also consider myself a proud supporter of gay rights and what I consider basic human rights! The way I figure it-people are born gay. God made them gay. So why in the world would I condemn someone for who they are?

And gay marriage does affect me. It's a basic right to marry that everyone should be allowed to do.

I feel it is unjustified for a "religiously diverse country" to push religious laws from ONE religion on the population.

What if the couple is atheist? Should they have to follow religious laws because the government says so? No.

Seperation of church and state should be applied to federal laws as well. Obviously the banning is backed by church (religious) views which is a big NO-NO.
