I allow my 9 month old free reign of the house. I close off my bathrooms but other than that she's free to explore. I am a sahm so she is supervised obviously.

Well if she is supervised then I don't see a problem with it. But at that age you have to watch them very carefully because that is when they start putting things in their mouth and trying to climb and stuff like that.

As long as she can't open doors or move furniture around like mine could, I would say that's fine.

I never kid proofed my home or made anything off limits. The were monitored, redirected and corrected. I'd rather teach them what is safe and what is not than baby proof.

Oh yea! She thinks she can climb on the couch, but she's not quite long enough. Lol!

No, they babyproof a room or use play pens. At least the moms I've come in contact with.

They look at me like I'm gonna freak out when she takes off down the hall.

haha she must be a cutie. I let my 1 yr old go where ever he wants. Our living/room and Kitchen area are pretty much almost joined, so we're always in the same room anyway
