So I've gained 30lbs so far and I'm 28 weeks along. I'm having a hard time because I gained waaaaay more than I should of/wanted to this past month and in addition to feeling bad, dealing with pregnancy body issues and all the not so fun stuff that goes along with that my lovely DH ha started to ask how much I gained with the last pregnancy and why I'm "so tired this time around". (Mind you I have an 18 month-old to chace around this time!) I know my "target" is 35lbs max but I was curious how many women actually stick to that.

Is it horrible to hope for morning sickness to keep the weight down lol!!

Quoting november117:

I was 155 when I got preggo with my first as well and was 174 when I found out I was preggo with this one. I am 9w1d now and actually weigh 168 because of morning sickness.

Quoting nocalmegan:

How funny that's exactly what I weighed. 186 when I was admitted, 172 when they released me. I still weigh 165 170! I was 155 before I got pregnant. And now we found out yesterday we are expecting again and I still haven't lost the last 10# yet!!

Quoting november117:

I gained 41 with my first. On d day I weighed 196, left at 172 the end of that week

w/ my son I gained only 35 lbs. but the 1st 5 months I had really bad morning sickness and was losing like 5-10 lbs a month. so I guess it all evened out. this pregnancy, same thing. I only 3 months. but I have so far lost a total of 20 lbs due to morning sickness. I sure once I feel better I will gain it all back and then some.

I was never told a number with my first.. I gained about 40lbs and was back to my original weight as soon as i had him.
Second, since i was a heffer that time, my doc said no more than 20lbs. i ended up losing 20sum lbs during my pregnancy and was down almost 30 more right after i had her.
