               ~no disrespect intended whatsoever~

If your child's parent is Black, did you feel like you had to give your child an ethnic name because of the other Parent?

Edit- This question is for Parents of biracial children who are NOT Black and have biracial Children with a black man.

Nope. We picked a name we like with origins that have nothing to do with either one of us. Our son's name is greek in origin and my husband was born in Uganda and raised in the UK and I'm a mutt with german, dutch, black dutch (gypsy group) irish, scottish, cherokee etc from america!

No. My son is named after my husband so his name is "ethnic," technically Ethiopian. But had I married any other race, my wish would have been for my son to be named after his father...so it was just by chance. My daughter's name is Greek, which neither of us are.

No. My husband is from the Middle East and is black.  All our kids except for one of our daughters have Arabic names.
