Eve may have come from Adam's rib but that doesn't mean she was a man. God created her as a woman, despite that. I don't think genetic modification and cloning would have anything to do with Christian belief. What you're thinking about might be EVOLUTION, which that is not. I'm no Biblical scholar, however.
But how did she get her XX chromosomes spliced from the XY dna?

he magically made a person out of a rib, but can't stop children from dying? But you're right...it certainly ISN'T evolution....at least Evolution makes SENSE.
If Eve came from Adam's rib, she would have been spliced from his DNA. That would be cloning. The genetic modifying would be mutating genes to give her XX chromosomes from his XY DNA. Not evolution.
