4 months old. She is was 2 month premature. So adjusted she is 2 months. I felt like she is ready. Im taking her slowly getting her us to the texture. I only give her two spoon fulls a day of oatmeal.

My ds who is going to be 7 in aug is very picky. And I refuse to have another picky child. We are talking to him about trying other food cause I don't want to force him and I think that he is old enough to be talk to about it. We are going to set up a reward system. Like dollar store toys or dollar or if he does really well then a new bayblead.

**update: I have talked to her GI and her Cardio about this. And im not doing it because of my picky eater. It is one reason. And if she starts to have problems she sees both cardio and GI every two weeks. And I will stop. They both told me that I should do what I feel is right. She gets 4oz of formula and was still acting hungry. Yes she is a 4 month old and acts like she is 4 months with most things. And eating is one of them.

Starting your baby early on solids won't prevent them from being picky.

2 months adjusted is far too early to start solids. Her/his body is not ready to process and digest solids. At this age her/his diet should consist of breast milk or formula only.

Did you talk to your baby's pediatrician about this?

Er...my DD was premature (not by that much) but she is almost 2 so I can be wrong...but aren't you supposed to start solids even later for preemies?
