Mom Confessions Mom Confessions

Just felt like it'd be fun to be bashed and I know you all have huge balls with the anon button. Give me some drama for the day. :)

Saff has had an ear ache for a few days. Just took her to the chiro and found out she had a ruptured ear drum. :( I feel bad that we waited 3 days before taking her in, but we figured warm garlic oil and hot compresses would help. She was in a lot of pain last night, so we made the appointment and drove out there.

Chiro rubbed some thieves oil on her feet and gave her a good adjustment. She said she is feeling better already, but the true test will be tonight when she goes to bed to see if it still hurts.

IF by some chance she isn't better in a few days, I'll get her antibiotics... but the DRs office is more of a last resort for us.

I wont bash you! (though we both know weve had our differences in the past lol, but i cant for the life of me remember what they were)

i cant believe how many parents jump on prescription chemicals for thier kids when most of these things go away on thier own.

im sorry her ear got hurt. im glad she is feeling better. im sure she will be back to normal in no time *hugs*

and i didnt know about the thieves oil for feet! ive been using it for DDs warts *that wont go away still! GRR do you have any other ideas for warts?*

i agree!! i am praying SO hard that i can produce this time around. even with a lactation specialist, with my DD, my glands never swelled and produced anything. i didtn even get drops or discharge.

then when DD was 3 i had a reduction, and te doctor said i had a 50/50 chance of the ducts reconnecting.

so that cuts my chances to what...like 25%? lol

but im still praying for it! and working already with the lactation specialist. i have an apointment next week to get the supplements she ordered for me.

i swear breastmilk is about a cure all for every thing lol. my son use to get clogged tear ducts a lot as a newborn. A bit of bm & all was well

editted. uh wrong word lol

Quoting NDADanceMom:

Are you breast feeding by chance?  I found that works best on ear infections.  just a few drops a few times a day

LOL, of course it wasn't a real question. I just couldn't believe someone would make a comment as silly as yours.

The musculoskeletal system affects the entire body. A misalignment can cause all sorts of issues, including ear infections. I have seen a lot of mamas on here try a chiropractor for recurring ear infections and had their child not end up needing tubes. One mother in the Babies group cancelled her child's surgery 3 days before. He was 13 months old and in that time, had 27 ear infections. They were constant and nothing helped. One visit to the chiropractor and he stopped screaming and acting irritable. Second visit, he was a completely different baby. Third visit - he has never had another ear infection since.

Colic, reflux, torticollis, ear infections etc. can all be helped by seeing a chiropractor. It's a lot more than the back cracking you see on TV lol

Quoting MrKennys_Mom:

Oh shut up! There are specific doctors for specific systems of the body! If this is a real question you are a jackass!

Quoting Randi02:

Do kids not have a muscular or skeletal system?

Quoting MrKennys_Mom:

Ok a pediatrition then. Chiropractors dont have the same training. Thier training focuses more on muscular and skeletal medicine.

Why do you take her to a chiropractor and not a real doctor?

A chiropractor is a real doctor. They don't get fake degrees online.

United States, for example, Chiropractors must have a 4 year undergraduate degree before starting chiropractic school, then they must complete a 4 year, post graduate, doctorate in chiropractic (8 years total). As such, in North America, chiropractors are indeed doctors, doctors of chiropractic.

Quoting Anonymous:

They cannot write prescriptions in most states. Hence why they are not real doctors...

Quoting Anonymous:

I didn't think they could prescribe medicine? Only natural stuff.

Quoting singlemom1208:

The doctorate degree they received. The fact they can legally prescribe medicine and they heal people

Quoting Anonymous:

Says who?

Quoting singlemom1208:

They are real doctors

Quoting Anonymous:

Chiro as in a chiroractor??? Why would you not take her to a real doctor?

WTF does that have to do with ANYTHING?

Quoting Randi02:

Ok, fine. I will be the one to say it.

This is why gay people shouldn't have kids!

:) LOL
