What do you think when a woman calls her boyfriend her husband?

I have noticed some women do this. They call their boyfriends their husbands when they are not even engaged or anything. My cousin has 2 children with her boyfriend, she calls him her husband and when someone says something like "did y'all get married"? she gets mad. Honestly, I feel like if being married is that important to you, get married if your SO doesn't want to get married then don't be with him.

I agree, but to each their own, they can call their relationship what they want.

I feel sorry for her. She obviously wants to be a wife but the BF doesn't want to make that commitment. Having a boyfriend and having a husband are two completely different things.

I dont think anything about it really. Now if she introduces him as her dh and he calls her his gf  THEN  I think there is an issue.

I find it extremely annoying when 14 year olds call their boyfriends their hubby on Facebook other than that I could care less.

She's a wanna-be, because she recognizes that shacking up & playing house is NOT equivalent to a real marriage.

My cousin will do this, when family members bring friends or a new SO to a family gathering she will introduce herself and she will say "that's my hubby and those are our children"

...depending on how long they have been together and if they are living together they can be common law ....
