I can buy a refurbished itouch straight from apple for about 50 bucks less than brand new. I bought myself a refurbished iPad and it looked brand new, came in the same white box with the same accessories as a new one along with the same warranty as a new one so I know the itouch will be the same.
My question though would it be too cheap if I bought him a refurb one? He won't know it's a refurbished unless I tell him and I'd save 50 bucks.
Would you buy a refurb one as a gift for someone?
EDIT:
Some of you read way to much into a post. He would NEVER say anything about it being refurbished, I just wanted others opinion if it would be tacky or not.
I wish my DH saved the money and bought me a refurb, instead of paying full retail!!
Okay here's the question where are you buying it? Im the SM of a gamestop in jersey, and we sell refurbed apple products. The rules for taking one in so it can be resold are strict and you have to follow strict rules before you can even gets sent out. Then they buff it make any repairs if need be, and wipe lhe system clear of the previous owners stuff. I sell aton of them a week because its a hell of alot cheaper than buying a new one.
I see no problem with it. Heck when you breack your cell phone you get a refurbished one. Get a nice cover or case for it with the money you save.
Oh and I sooooooo wanted to pick Monkey but did not lol
I would love it... shoot my i-pos is 6 years old and going strong.. Changed the battery with a kit online and good to go.
I bought my husband a refurbed ipod and he loved and was glad I saved money on it. You can use the extra to go out on a bday dinner!!
I have a refurbished iPhone and it has worked perfectly for over a year. It's not tacky, it's brilliant!
