My dd is 9 and loves to read. We went to visit family and dd took her kindle. It is just the cheapo Kindle. DHs family told him we spoil her and she should be happy with paper books. How about you don't judge my choices and I won't judge the fact you spend more money on weed than your kids shoes.

First of all, there's no such thing as a "cheapo" kindle.  A kindle is not cheap.

It was $70. And we have gotten more than $70 worth of free books on it. I jus meant it wasn't a Kindle Fire or anything like that.

I dunno, its not like its a video game system where she will always want new games, ebooks are cheap from what I understand, paper books not so much!! I think a kindle for a kid that will take care of it is totally worth every cent!!
