So true!

Maybe he doesn't need just one day to honor his comrades, past & present?

Sorry I misread you reply. My dh didnt join for any recognition or anything like that either, but I do find it sad that he cant remember when veterans day is.
Quoting Love060708kids:I never said he didn't care.
He didn't join the Army to be validated, he didn't join for the glory -- he joined the Army as a career. We've been to many outings like SeaWorld and they ask those who serve(d) in the military to rise to get applauded, he will not stand. That's just who he is.
Quoting Anonymous:
Doesnt it bother you that he doesnt care?
Quoting Love060708kids:Nothing, some soldiers just don't care. haha
My husband hits his 9 years in July and he's 27 :)
He couldn't tell you when Veteran's Day is...he knows it's in November...ha

When you throw on a uniform maybe you can understand maybe why he doesn't need just one day to honor his fallen brothers. Stop judging.
Quoting Anonymous:
Thats how I feel too! Like he acts like the army is his life yet cant remember a date thats so important. Esp after losing friends in battle! Uhg and his dad served for 6 years so ce on!
Quoting GreenEyePixie:
I would wonder about him.
Dh said he would think it is a disgrace. (going on 10 years military)
