Do you thin maybe she was an illegal immigrant?

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A Lubbock woman was confronted at Kmart and accused of shoplifting, but when police arrived they were told the woman ran off and left a 2-year-old boy behind.

There were no reports of the child being injured, only that he had been left behind at the store.

The woman had not been located as of Monday afternoon.

Police called Child Protective Services to help with the child.

How the hell does your mind go to illegal immigrants?!?!? No i don't think shes an illegal immigrant. I think shes a sad pathetic woman that abandoned a child to save her skin.

Foster care is a horrible place, but its better than being with her probably. And since he's 2, he has a better chance at being treated with love and nuture in a foster home.

Well that's the only reason I can really think of a mom leaving her kid behind like that. Like she knows if she gets caught she'll be deported and the kid will too. But if she abandoned him, he could at least be raised in America and she wouldn't get deported.

Omg! The same thing happened at my Agency on Thursday. The kid didn't even know his name. Mom just ran off when confronted by security. Kid went into foster care. So sad!!
