The Thing I Hate About Stretchmarks!

It's not the fact you have them, nor the fact that you think you are special.

By saying things like 'be proud of your battle scars' it makes those of us without stretchmarks fell like less of a parent/ made less effort when we had a child. What can we say? Hmmm. 

It annoys me too no end. I wish I had earned tiger stripes, but I didn't, but I still gave birth, so why am I not worthy when a stretchmarked mother is?

I had twins and gained 80lbs!!! Omg!! Stretch mark central and I am not proud of any single one of the little bastards! They're everywhere.

Seriously? Do you think we actually LIKE having these train tracks across our stomachs, boobs, arms, legs, and sometimes girly bits? Oh hell naw. Nobody enjoys this shit. It's just our way of coping.

Be glad you don't have them. My whole belly is covered by them and I hate. I don't refer them to anything though just stretch marks to me.

I aqm not a fan of people saying that strech marks are like battle scars, because I think it is silly to equate the marks left by stretching skin too quickly, with the men and women that actually became scarred in battle. But that is just my opinion, and that does not mean much. Although I am sure someone will get a case of the butthurts about me saying this.

With dd I didn't get one at all I didn't get any remarks at the beach or when I wore something that showed belly. Now with Ds I got some and it has made me look at myself completely different it shook my confidence so saying I earned them makes ME feel better it makes me love my body again. So I think its another way of saying I still feel sexy not to say anyone's less of a mom for not having them. I don't think anyone intended to make the non marked mommas feel bad. To be honest be glad u don't have any. I felt better about myself pre marked belly.
