I found a wallet and this is what I did. Would you have done the same thing?

I was shopping the other day with my kids. 

I had gotten everything I needed. I decided to go browse through some magazines and try to find a new haircut. I havent had one in like two months. Way too long. Anyway. I saw a wallet sitting on the edge of the shelf. YOu could tell someone had been looking at a magazing and maybe forgotten it was there. I looked inside and there was fifty two dollars in there.

I thought for a moment and then took the money. Money is soo tight for us right now and anything can help.

I went to the register and had enough cash out of whta I found to buy my groceries AND afford a haircut. I didnt even have to use my foodstamps. I was so grateful. 

So tell me. What would you have done?

Not what you did. I would have turned it in money and all. My df dropped his wallet out of the car at Walmart and 2 hours later they finally called us and it was turned in money and all. I was so thankful because money was also tight for us and I am glad a douche like you didn't find it.

There are cameras in most grocery stores. If that person files a report, they will be able to find you on camera taking the wallet. Its still theft.

the way I see it. they should have been more attentive to their things. I mean I dont leave my wallet lying around.

thank god my mother raised me correctly. i would have taken it to customer service. probably wouldnt of even opened it.

 I would have returned the wallet to the customer service desk and left the money in it. What would have happened had that been you and that was all you had to buy your grocerys with. Sorry just my opinion that makes you nothing more than a theif.

 I would have looked for ID and returned the money, you have no idea if that was all they had to feed their babies with and you blew it on a hair cut for yourself...FOR SHAME!
