If you have that little for a family of 4 then go apply. I know that you can shop and feed everyone with that little bit of money, but I also know it doesn't go far. If you need help don't be embarrassed or ashamed of getting the help.

I will be applying for FS soon. My SO and I are moving into a house in two weeks. It will be us two and my son until our baby is born in October. I will only need it for a few months since I won't be working and will have only one car.....

We i only had $200 a month for food. I have a family of 6.

depends on how well you can shop. i can feed 3 adults and 1 9 year old on about $120-$150 a month including fresh veggies, fruit and meat. but not everyone has the shopping skills to pull that off. or are in an area with poor sales etc. 

i hesitate to say that if i were you i would not apply unless you regularly dip to !50 or less a month
