Creationism/evolution

I get that the facts supporting evolution do not jive well with the history in the bible. That aside, why is it one or the other? Why couldn't a creator have made life and then the flow of creation started? Isn't it possible that if the bible is generally correct (Jehovah, Adam & Lilith then Eve, creation, heaven, sin, forgiveness & redemption, ect.) then maybe human error (and greed) are to blame for the contradictions and fallacies? Converse.

Exactly. I believe that something had to of created it all. You had to have something to create all of this. But just like the Notebook quotes "Science only goes so far, then comes God."

ITA. If you don't take the bible 100% literally, things line up. First the dark, then the light, animals then humans. There is proof that evolution happens- but until I see the missing link I've become hesitant that we are evolved from apes.

It's like the big bang theory. Matter collided and made the universe. Excellent. I'll believe it. But what created the matter? How did it collide? No mater what the theory is, I always come back to the conclusion something had to start it all.

I believe that they both work together. I don't think you can really have one without the other. You have to have evolution or all species would die off. But a creator had to make those species.

Not any kind of Christian over here. I was just using names since it makes sense. Lilith appears in the book of Isaiah (sp) and is part of the Jewish tales of creation. She and Adam were created from the soil. Lilith wouldn't submit to Adam and got exhiled, then God created Eve. I'm sure you know Judiasm is just Christianity's parent, though. ;)

I the first woman from the bible was eve. Lilith. Wth. I know ur jehovah witness because u called him Jehovah. This is why I didnt like their teachings its a little truth wrapped with a little bs.

Adam's first wife, she was made from soil like he was. She refused to be subserviant and was exiled from Eden. Then she fell in love with a fallen angel and made demon babies, the Lilin I think. DH named DD after her for her strenght and courage.

Lmao, the first marriage on earth and what a shock-it fails!

I don't believe in the bible. I have nothing against those that do, and won't push my beliefs upon people. It's just how I feel. I believe in evolution. Bible belts will never except it though.

According to Wiki she's in the book of Isaiah (sp). It's part of the tale of creation, but it's not as popular as Adam and Eve's story. I bet the church didn't want to tell of the first marriage failing. Lol!

The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest. Isaiah 34:14 kjv it doesn't talk anything about this Lilith

Deism is what that's called. Basically, they believe that God created the scientific laws/things needed to put the laws in motion (evolution, Big Bang, etc.) and then stepped back and let it happen
