So, you women who think vaccines are bad, tell me what we should do instead. If tomorrow we threw away all vaccines, what would your plan be?

Should we A- rely on healthy eating and exercise? All organic, no hormones in meats, get out and exercise? Because that obviously worked really well in the past, right? Before fast food, sugary sodas and coffee drinks, sedentary lifestyles. Back when people worked out on the farms and all food was organic. People died from diseases in much higher numbers than they do today.

Or should we B- let people catch these diseases and just treat them with antibiotics or supplemental hospital care. Yeah, that's a great plan. Allow the bacteria and viruses to build up a resistance to antibiotics and become superbugs. That sounds like a legit plan.

So really, what should we do? You rely on the parents who vaccinate now to keep the illnesses at bay but if we didn't do anything to control disease, they would become epidemics.

Don't post any bullshit pictures of babies after getting vaccines because I can play that game too. Have you ever seen a person die from tetanus? It's a really shitty death and guess where you can catch it?- a rusty playground. Don't copy and paste some bullshit from some website run by fanatical housewives or extremists of any sort. If you have something to say, I want you to back it up with references to actual scholarly journals with data that has been tested and retested.

Go.

*EDIT*-Ok, ladies, let's try to focus. I'm not asking about Autism or who vaxes and who doesn't or why. I am asking what the non vaxing parents think we, as a society, should do instead? What do u think is our best option?

So far all we've gotten is to wash hands and to just get everyone else to vax so the few can benefit from herd immunity. Neither one is viable. So...what else is there? Edit 2- So, after almost 200 responses, not one person could list an actual worthwhile alternative option to vaccinating. MOMMY2ZOEBETH had the best answer "A better alternative would be to have all these people on both sides of this "debate" start barking down the throats of the drug companies, the CDC and the FDA and force them to have more stringent requirements for vaccine safety and reformulate when it is found that a vaccine contains additives that can adversely affect so many consumers." I can respect that. Thanks for all the responses, ladies! If anyone can think of anything better, please feel free to post.

My kids are 5, 3 and 2 and they are all 3 vaccinated!! I trust their pedi to tell me what vaccines they NEED ( thats what he is trained and went to school for )and thats what they get. My kids have never even had a fever or rash or anything from getting shots.

I have wondered that myself, and I would like to know as well. I vax my babies (granted we spread them out, but DD is 2 and a halfand up to date, and DS will be up to date after his 9 month check-up next week).
