bump because Im curious!
I'm curious now too. Maybe they dont consider it an issue.
The tetanus vaccine is will not prevent tetanus when given directly after sustaining a wound. Tetanus Immune Globulin, however, will. http://www.drugs.com/ppa/tetanus-immune-globulin-tig.html If you had the vaccine prior, then you will most likely be protected and won't need the immune globulin, but if you don't have it, the globulin can prevent tetanus. The "rusty nail" idea is somewhat of a myth: http://www.timelessmyths.co.uk/stepping-on-a-rusty-nail-causes-tetanus.html more info: http://ushealthworks.wordpress.com/2010/11/10/rusty-nails-dirty-wounds-and-tetanus/
Bump I would like to know also?
