You can go anon for this. Have you ever used the word? Maybe you have African American friends and you felt comfortable using it around them? Maybe you were singing lyrics to a song. I don't use the word at all. I don't want anyone of any other race using such a derogatory word, why would I think it was okay to use it. I'm asking because of this...

I say Nigga to my homies lol. My SO sayd it all the time to his friends. To us it means friends. A lot of people use it around here where I am from. People don't care. It mean homie how we say it.

Saying Nigger is a whole nother story. The only time I hear it is from racist assholes or when SO's family play around.

Did you use the word around friends. Why did you think it was okay? Not trying to bash you or anything. Just asking a question. I've had hispanics friend who say they think it's okay, because African Americans say it to each other, so it must be okay.
