i went to the zoo and they don't put lids or straws on their drinks because of littering

That;s a private enterprise. A government making plastic bags illegal is insane.

I wish they would ban them everywhere.  Then, everyone would be forced to use reusable bags.

i reuse my plastic bags, every one of them...i think that is just crazy to ban a whole city from using them, whatever...more PC/environmental crap they stuff down our throats...

I think they should just put a tax on the bags. Reuseable bags are not expensive so even people who are low income can buy a few. $5 and they will last you forever. 5 cents a bag would deter a lot of people from using plastic bags.

I reuse plastic bags for a lot of things....they make some pretty cool kites with weather tape and drinking straws
