Found out today I've lost 10 lbs in a week.
Makes total weight loss @ 16weeks 5 days a whopping 27 lbs

With the lupus, I am high risk for IUGR, basically the baby having a harder time growing
My nurse, dietician and pt/ot in the hospital have all asked if they have done an ultrasound recently to see how baby was growing.
Last one was at 12 weeks, at that point I had only lost 8lbs
But babys growth hasn't been checked since, only heartrate

They've spent all day trying to get my OB to order an ultrasound. Turns out she is gone for the weekend already, nurse spoke with the on call doc who said "its not something to worry about. Call her doc Monday"
It would take a couple minutes to order an ultrasound and have someone come do it when there was time.
I've been here 2.5 weeks and had to fight for even the tiniest prenatal care, explanation? "Baby isn't viable yet so nothing we can do"

Insurance won't auth my transfer to another hospital :(
Ugh.
I'm fucking furious and just in tears. Because it feels like my doctor just does not give a shit. I'm going to call around for a new OB Monday.

This entire hospital stay has been a fucking nightmare.

Anywa6y, I'm finding a new OB and gonna bug the oncall docs here all weekend.

Do you agree with the "its not something to be concerned about" answer we got?

I don't know if anything could be done even if it ws something to worry about.  I'm sorry you have all these stressful things going on.

It isn't their baby so they probably aren't all that worried. I do not think you are overreacting at all. I would find on OB that was as concerned with your baby's health as they are with yours.

It just seems like an ultrasound would be such a simple thing to order. But they just don't care

If I were in your shoes, I'd fire that OB and find one who took my concerns seriously.

I plan on calling around Monday to find someone. Got some names from my friends.

That's exactly it, they don't seem concerned at all with babys health

when i was pregnant with dd2 i was vomitting, broke out in hives, had extreme abdominal pain, and weight loss. they said it was my uterus growing, morning sickness, and i was allergic to something (no explanation for the weight loss). i went between my dr, er, and urgent care 17 times in 14 days before i got admitted for having fluid in my abdomen. but OH before i forget my dr said i was fine and to send me home...turns out (i was a medical mystery and still am) the fluid was infectious and they could have ended all my symptoms right away by removing it (like they did after my suffering for over a month). i say get a new ob ur dr sounds like my old one (btw baby was induced on her due date and hospitalized at one month due to weight loss....everyone thinks it has something to do with what happened) gl

No I don't agree with it. If anything, they should do it for your peace of mind. I would bug the crap out of them.
