Sounds like your husband is the problem, not the cat. Why is he even bothering the cat if he doesn't like cats? I don't like cats either, so I tend to ignore them when we have had them before, unless they need to be in trouble.

He IS the problem. The cat is just being a...well, cat. He won't leave him alone bcause he "won't have an animal in the house that won't tolerate him." MY issue is that the cat DOES leave him alone when he doesn't bother the cat. I got pissed last night when he was shooting at the cat with the NERF gun. I was like, "I KNOW you're not shooting him with a NERF gun." He said, "It was better than punching him." I said, "Did you bother him again?" He said, "Yes, I won't have a pet I can't rub." Yup. Moe goes out with the dogs, responds to him name, comes in when called. He's a total "catdog." LOL Zorro, on the other hand, though Moe's littermate, is a total CAT'S cat. He won't be rubbed unless he CHOOSES so. He doesn't care for DH and DH just needs to get OVER it. Moe LOVES him enough for BOTH cats so he just needs to be ok with it. On top of 2 dogs who love him, it should NOT be an issue.
