S/O Restaurant Clean Up...a message from your server...

I've been a server for going on 10 years now, off and on. I just want to say a big THANK YOU to people who help clean up if their children make messes. That extra effort means so much more than any tip.

I was a hostess at a restaraunt & part of my job was to help clear tables. OH MY GOSH, trying to clean up a ridiculously messy table quickly while people are getting impatient because they are waiting to be seated SUCKS! It's not that hard to pick up after yourself/kids.

When me and dh go out to eat he tries to tell me its not my job to clean up the table. That we go out to eat so I don't have to clean up the table. I just feel rude not doing it tho. And he never ever leaves a good tip. He's embarassing lol

I always stack the plates together with all the trash and used silverware on the top plate. I place the empty cups together and place the tip under the cups :)

Dh always tells me that I don't leave a job for the bussers except picking up the plates. I stack everything in the middle of the table. Trash on the very top of all the plates

I can't help but clean up after ourselves.   I always stack the plates and glasses and scoot them to the end of the table.  

If the kid makes a mess on the floor I pick up the large chuncks.
