But what happens when he needs it and you arent around. Its better than the alternative.

No I agree with that. If I were gone for an extended period of time, then I would have no problem with it. We're never away from each other for the night or anything.

Nope. His drive is much higher then mine... If he didn't do it, I think he would drive me crazy.. LOL!
