Here is a lesson folks. IF YOU HAVE HAD A SEIZURE DONT DRIVE. February 2011 my husbands family lost 5 precious lives because a woman chose to drive after having a seizure and did not get cleared by a neurologist to drive again.

This family was CRUSHED when the driver of the other vehicle had a seizure and her SUV went airborne and landed on their truck killing them all.
She is on trial right now for 5 counts of negligent homocide and 2 counts of child abuse because her two children were in the car.

UPDATE
My husband and my mother in law sat through today's trial portion. It went to the jurors, now we wait for a verdict. Please do not misunderstand my motive. I want justice, and I am a firm believer in the court system. If she doesnt get the justice I would choose for her it does not mean justice was not done, it means it was done in a different way. We do not hate this woman. We do not want her children to lose their mother, but we cannot overlook the 5 lives that were taken from us.

Please keep our families in your prayers.
UPDATE 2!! This story is being covered by Nancy Grace tonight. I am hoping that with this kind of media exposure we can help get others off the road who should not be driving without being cleared.
Final update....she was found not guilty. Our family is very torn by this verdict, but hopefully we can begin the healing and move on.
i have vision problems and other issues, i do not drive for safety reasons because i would never want to hurt anyone. my mother on the other hand does not understand why i cant drive, i guess some people will never understand just how dangerous it can be should something happen while one is driving a care. some people just believe that just because they know when something is going to happen that they should be able to prevent it. well that is not the case and i would never risk something like that. i may hate having to relay on other people to help me get around town but atlest i can feel better about not putting people at risk.
This could easily be us at any time. Stroke, heart attack, seizure. Non of these stop because you are driving. There are obviously other circumstances that prevented the jury from finding her guilty. It is very sad but accidents do happen.
I am so sorry for your families loss, I will be praying for your family to begin to heal from this tragic loss.
I hope your family can heal from this devastation. It doesn't seem fair that she wasn't convicted, but the guilt I'm sure she is feeling will follow her for the rest of her life. She made a very wrong decision and now her justice is living with the knowledge that she could have prevented this from happening if she hadn't been stupid about it and having to feel guilt for the rest of her life.
