Natural birth

I hate seeing all these moms on Herr bragging about natural birth and how they are so awesome and I even saw someone say that they deserve medals. Now before I go on, I will say, I had dd natural, with a midwife in a bathtub. However, I do not feel like I deserve anything because of my CHOICE. and for the fact that I did something NATURAL. Women have managed to give birth without assistance for thousands of years and no one praises then for their bravery and courage. Go to my 101 yr old great grandma who had 14 kids at home in her bed on the farm, and tell her you want an award for having a baby.

I agree with you on this one. I decided to have mine natural because people have done it for centuries.

I agree with you. I had one with an epi, one without, and having one without is 1000% easier! but it's nothing to get an award for >.> We're hoping for a home birth with our next baby (in the future, but still)

I agree with you. And the baby is a reward enough.

And for the record...a c section is no piece of cake. IF anyone deserved a medal, c section mama's would definitely qualify for one as well!

I don't think I deserve a medal but as someone who had two horrible hospital births I am extremely proud that I was able to have a homebirth and do what I thought I couldn't do for so many years.
