My food Stamps don't go as far as they used to **Edit

with the price of food skyrocketing, they last little more than half a month, and my buying habits have not changed at all.  I end up having to put food on a credit card just to eat by the end of the month...it sux...and yes, i have a full time job...no, i can't get a second job due to physical disabilities.  Rent is outrageious, gas prices are outrageous, utilities are outrageous...WHEN WILL IT END?

For all you bitches who judge before reading......food prices are different all over the country...my dh is disabled, i am too, and i already stretch what we have as far as i can make it....YES with coupons, bogo, sales, and everything else i can think of....yes, there are certain cheaper foodies i will not buy, due to the poor quality of food.  My chief complaint which hardly ANY of you understood was that  PRICES ARE GOING UP INSANELY FAST AND FOOD STAMPS DON'T COVER WHAT THEY USED TO!!!     And food stamps allotments differ from state to state as well.  Oh, and if we had to use real money, we'd have starved  to death by now.  The same amount of stamps used to cover us for most of the month a year ago.

I'm in the same boat :/ I thought i was doing something wrong, but no matter how i tweak the budget, change the grocery list, etc. it never last more than half a month anymore. I used to have a ton left over, now it won't last 2 weeks!

Coupons, rewards cards, off brands, less processed food.

I just bought a months worth of groceries-meats, veggies, fruits etc that would have been $300 pre-coupons-after it was $197.  We had to go buy milk yesterday and fresh fruit again but I expect too.

Seriously, use coupons or shop at Aldi's or the like.

I only shop the ads and use lots of coupons. I have food stamps and I always have twenty dollars left over which I save to use on a pizza night once a month....

i know the feeling, mine only last like 2 weeks the only thing with us is that we don't  the extra money. i try to make them stretch. I shop at save a lot, buy in bundles now but it still don't last. by the end of the month i end up going to chruches to get a little help.

I work, i am consider full time but we don't get full time hours and they are always calling someone off work, sometimes we are called off 3 or 4 times a week. I am looking for another job where i can get more hours but nothing is coming available.
