How do you play with your kid?

Ok I was never a kid. I was always made to act like an adult when I was a kid, and never really played. When I did play I didn't play with anyone I played by myself. I guess I expect that she does the same. I need some help with how to actually play with her. I know it sounds stupid and dumb, bash away. She is 4. Loves being outside and doing anything. But I'm not an out doorsy type and the heat is horriable. And to get anywhere fun is way out of the way.

My boys don't want to play with me. They always tell me I don't use the right man to play this game of Legos or this guy doesn't shoot guns (duh), however, they like playing sports with me so I know I can win out if I send em outside with a ball (soccer, basketball, tennis, whatever) but I'm not entirely welcomed into Boy World...until they're hungry.

I take my son to the park and I play with him. Go down slides, swings, or whatever they have. We've played tag too and he loves it. Around the house he likes it when i chase him or play hide and seek.

i have a two year old DD and a four year old SD. We have tea parties, dress thier dolls up in my DD's old clothes.

Lets see, they enjoy making macoroni noodle necklaces and braclets, painting, and we also make cookies together at least twice a week.

Outside, we play catch, ride the quads, make sand castles in the sandbox, we search for certain flowers, try to catch butterflys and lighting bugs with their nets and bug catchers. I have a garden and both like helping water it and pick out weeds. We have made race tracks in the dirt for their bikes or little toy cars.

you just have to think like a kid and use your imagination.

They also like games such as tag, duck duck goose, hide and seek, I spy, find the (whatever), waterballoon fights..... theres a lot that kids do, but pretty much anything you come up to play with, i bet she will be thrilled you are playing with her no matter what it is.

My kids love when I give them airplane rides, horse back rides, build tents, go to the park, and even go on walks!  (:

Tea party, dollies, super hero, ninja. I play all those games with my niece. Also, when it's hot outside, we set up a kiddie pool for the little ones while us adults sit in a chair and watch. It's hot, but at least we're not running around.

I don't. That's daddy's job.

I can't stand kids and their squealing and crap, much less playing with them.

Paint with her. Watch movies together. Color. Bake together. As long as you spend time with her doing things. She will always remember it.

This. Very annoying sometimes. Lol. But go with it. It's hot here as well so we stay inside building tents and fortresses. Coloring, painting, making a house out of a cardboard box, hide and seek, science projects we find online <----disaster!!!!!
