My daughter just had a birthday party this past weekend. We did a muppet party. My son's birthday is in August and honestly I should have done the muppet party for him. They both LOVE the muppets but he isn't in to ANYTHING the way he's in to the Muppets. I was trying to come up with ideas this morning when I realized, he would love a Dora party. I'm not going to do it all pink or anything ( not that I think that matters much) he isn't in to Diego at all....so Dora it is. It will be his second birthday, would you throw a Dora party for your son?

Yes I have. My DAUGHTERS love it. They also watch Diego. Parties sould match the gender of the person it is for. Girls would have Dora and boys would have Diego. We think Gender roles and gender specific things are very important and ahould be very defined and seperates

Quoting rgba:

Why?

Why is Dora "for girls"? Have you actually watched it?

Honestly, the ignorance on this site makes me want to vomit sometimes.

You could always combine Dora and Diego. Really, if he's that into Muppets, just do that theme again. It's not a big deal. You could also take him to the party store and let him choose what he wants. My kids loved doing that.

He's too young for that. Doing another Muppet party would be a huge deal. I put a lot of work and effort in to that party, trying to do it again with all new ideas would be really hard. I thought about just having a Kermit party, but Dora would be way easier and he loves Dora and Boots. He sleeps with Kermit and Boots every night and he steels his sisters Dora.

I sure would. Anything to make them happy on their special day. My oldest DS's favorite color is pink so he has pink toy bins in the playroom and we bought him a pink lego set for Christmas. He was thrilled! :)

LOL, he can't ask for anything. He doesn't talk yet, which is why he isn't in to Diego. Diego is for older kids

Diego is for older kids, he doesn't even know who Diego is

And you are why women's lib is going backward and sexism is strengthening. That's disgusting.

OP - If he likes Dora then give him Dora.

Yeah Dora's fine. I would just add boy colors to the Dora stuff.
