?...if you can't pay your bills why would you have cable?
Am I crazy here?
We canceled our cable after re-examining our budget. We have other things that are more important.
However we still have internet since my husband sometimes works from home.
I'm not saying that i agree with paying for cable if you cant afford other stuff, when i lived on my own i just watched the same dvds and videos all the time, and i wanted to tear my eyes out cuz we watched the same shit over and over agian. after only 2 months it was so hard.
Shit priorities. I see people here whining about how they can't even feed their families, yet they have full cable, high-speed internet, and gadgets and big mobile plans.
But of course they NEEEEEEDDDDD it. You know... for "work."
Or the old stand-by, "we already paid for the month." Well, chances are if your finances were shit LAST month, you should have cancelled before they were even shittier THIS month, dimwit!
I can't pay my bills and I don't have cable... I have a hot spot that was given to me and the bill gets paid by the person who gave it to me... she got two units for the one account. She has to pay for it anyway, so she gave us the extra one...we are very lucky.
cable/internet is a bill
for some people using the cable/internet is how they make a living. It is a requirement for such in our household
I dunno if this affects your question but for us the internet is our cable/viewing entertainment. We don't pay for cable television anymore we just pay for cable internet access to use netflix and a digital antennae to get local channels.
I don't know where the sunbeams end and the starlights begin; it's all a mystery.

lol thats beyond me lol.w me losing my job and money being tight that's the first thing that went lol.
I just got internet and cable after 4 years without them. I had my priorities- and food, shelter, and clothing were among them. Not Facebook or any TV show. I had free local channels- that's it.
People need to get their shit straight. Drives me nuts seeing people on food stamps but they have internet/cable/latest smart phone. If you can afford to pay for those things, you have no business taking welfare from people that NEED IT.
