I'm slightly worried

this is going to be my new kitty, he was saved, mama abandoned him. My cousin is caring for him intill he is old enough to come home because I have kids and a very sweet grey muzzle dog, She is taking very good care of him. I'm worried about his eyes though, she's always cleaning them out but it seems like the tear ducts are still clogged and I'm on ther verge of paying for him to go to the vet early... He does move and explore and does get his eyes open, well the last time I saw him he did (on fri)  this is a pic from sun...

I figure there are some cat people on here

It looks like he could have an eye infection, I would get him to the vet pronto.

I'm cat people. Lol. I would say to take it to the vet if you can afford it. Maybe a local humane society or something similar can offer discounted services.

Do you have any breastmilk? Even frozen? From a friend? Anything?

A few drops per eye every couple
Of hours should clear it right up!

I know its not supposed to be used for internal but I used to first wipe the eyes from inner to outer corners once with one cotton ball with warm water, then repeat with the other eye.  Then I would use a little bit of neosporin.  It helped the goo to decrease. I'm sure an antibiotic ointment intended for cats wouldn't be too expensive.  Also if you have a Pet Smart they may sell it to you without the vet in their store having to see the kitty.

He or she is really cute.  I want to get 2 kittens soon.  I love having pets.

Enjoy your new baby.
